TRANSPARENCY / UPDATED 17 SEPTEMBER 2026
Terms & conditions
The simple terms behind a voluntary gift.
Who runs this fund
Sophia’s Future Fund is a personal initiative managed by Sophia’s dad, Sophia's Dad. Contact: sophiasfuturefund@proton.me. Gifts are open through the configured payment provider.
Voluntary personal gifts
This is not a registered charity, charitable trust, investment product or crowdfunding investment. A gift is voluntary, provides no goods, services, ownership, return or reward, and is not eligible for Gift Aid through this website. Give only if you are legally able to do so and comfortable with these terms. There is no obligation to give.
How gifts are handled
Payments first go to Sophia’s dad’s account through PayPal, or Ko-fi if that provider is selected. They do not go directly into an ISA. The stated intention is to transfer the net proceeds, after provider fees, refunds and currency conversion charges where applicable, into an ISA in Sophia’s name for her future education. The website is not an escrow service and provides no independent guarantee of transfers.
ISA eligibility and limits
Transfers depend on account eligibility, the provider’s rules and the applicable annual subscription limit across accounts. If a transfer cannot be made promptly, the organiser will keep a separate record of the balance awaiting transfer and explain any material delay on this site. The organiser should pause new gifts if the stated intention cannot be fulfilled; contact them about a pending gift. A Junior ISA belongs to Sophia. She can normally access it at 18 and decide how to use it. Education is an intention, not a restriction imposed on her.
Payment provider rules
You must review the recipient, amount, currency, fees and transaction type on the provider’s own website. Describing a contribution as a personal gift here does not set its PayPal classification, remove charges or override provider rules. Do not select an inappropriate payment type to avoid fees. PayPal and Ko-fi handle payment information under their own terms and privacy notices. We do not collect card details.
Refunds and mistakes
Contact the organiser promptly with the date, amount and provider reference if you made a mistake or want to request a refund. Do not send passwords or card numbers. Requests are considered individually; a refund cannot be promised, particularly after funds enter a Junior ISA where withdrawal restrictions apply. Nothing here excludes mandatory legal rights or provider dispute rights.
Records and updates
Any published totals are manually reconciled net gifts, not a live ISA balance or a statement of investment performance. They may lag behind payments. No educational outcome, financial return or loan-free future is guaranteed. Changes apply prospectively; material changes to the intended use will be explained publicly before further gifts are accepted.
Contact and disputes
Please raise concerns with the organiser first. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud, or prevents you exercising applicable legal rights.
